My pet is already microchipped. Why would I need this?
A microchip is important, but it can only be read with a scanner, usually at a vet or by a warden. HopeTether works on the spot: the person who finds your pet scans the TAG with their own phone and can reach you straight away, and you get a text the moment it happens. Keep the microchip. HopeTether works alongside it.
Does it replace my dog’s engraved ID tag?
No. In the UK, a dog in a public place must wear a collar with the owner’s name and address on it or on a tag attached to it. Keep that tag. It works with no signal and no server, and the law requires it. HopeTether adds what an engraved tag cannot: an instant alert and private contact. You don’t need to add your phone number to the engraved tag.
Will the person who finds my pet see my phone number?
No. Calls and messages go through HopeTether’s private line, so the Finder can reach you without ever seeing your personal number.
Does the Finder need an app or an account?
No. Any smartphone camera can scan the QR code. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
Is there a subscription?
No. £29.99 is a one-time payment for your pet’s permanent HopeTether Identity, including the TAG and UK delivery.
When will my TAG arrive?
Each TAG is engraved for your pet’s Identity and dispatched within 3–5 working days, with UK delivery included.
What if the TAG is lost?
Your pet keeps the same HopeTether Identity. A replacement TAG connects to it, and the old one stops working once the new one is activated.
